Have a honey of a day!!!

I made this card late last night for my Sudsol group's Chat & Challenge Sketch!
What do you think?
I started out by picking my colors, I went with the dots from the Good Morning DSP and matched up from there with Pacific Point CS for my base Whisper White CS matted with Baja Breeze CS and accents of Chocolate Chip and Summer Sun! I water-colored the honey pots, cut them out and used a dimensional for the top pot. I punched the bees out with the 3/4" circle punch and matted them with chocolate chip punched with the 1" circle. These are also on stampin' dimensionals. I colored in the bees wings with my white gel pen. I love that pen! I added the chocolate chip corduroy button after tying the middle with linen thread. The summer sun was scalloped and stamped then I tied some chocolate chip ribbon around it and glued it on!

Thanks for looking and Happy Stampin'!!

Look...No Stamps!

The winner from my last blog post is Heather!! Congratulations Heather!
This is a really quick set I did using just Urban Oasis DSP and some embellishments! I love the bag in a box idea which I learned from my upline and great friend at her stamp club! Here is the link for the bag in a box tutorial! Try it out, you'll be amazed at how easy they are to do!

Thanks for looking, and happy stampin'!

Rainbows!

I just had to share this! A full rainbow!! I've never seen a full one, it was so amazingly beautiful and right in my backyard! By the time I had ran to grab my camera it had faded quite a bit but before I snapped the picture there was actually a double rainbow one on top of this one!

And in the Stamp room I made this card, Friends 24-7 is by far my very favorite stamp set right now! I just love it, and the coordinating Friendly Words wheel is so versatile and has so many sayings!

This is a card I made using both stamps and very simple! I used the Apricot Appeal Buttons from the Fresh Favorites I assortment tied with Hemp Twine. I stamped the bird from the 24-7 set in Really Rust Classic Ink onto a piece of Tangerine Tango Cardstock. I distressed the edges and sponged edges with Really Rust Classic Ink. The background on both the Tangerine Tango & Apricot Appeal Cardstocks are done with the Friendly Words wheel in Tangerine Tango Classic Ink. I used the Flourish from the 24-7 stamp set over the background and on the bottom inside piece of Apricot Appeal. I finished off by scalloping the bottom.

Be sure to leave a comment and you can win this card! I will be drawing from all of the comments tomorrow! Be sure to leave an email! Thanks for looking!

Happy Creating!

Sweet Baby Girl

I can't believe how long it has been since my last post! I had surgery and my husband came home from overseas to take care of me for a week and then we found out he gets to stay home for 45 days! What a blessing! It is so nice having him home and our kids are loving every minute too. I am all healed up and ready to get back into the craft room! So keep checking back!

Here is a card I had made for a baby shower using the So Many Scallops Stamp Set. I used Pink Pirouette and Close to Cocoa Inks and Card stock. I used the Scallop, 1" circle and new Eyelet Punch which is my new favorite! I cut out the moon and the 'sweet one' banner and used stampin' dimensional to pop the moon, banner and 1" circle. I also put a piece of Pretty in Pink 1/4" grosgrain ribbon around the brown card stock.

Thanks for looking and Happy Creating!!

My New Decor Elements!

My first decor elements, I actually got this FREE from Stampin Up! I was so excited to put it up, knowing I had the perfect empty spot for it! So up in my little nook it went! I love it, I was a little unsure about these but I am now sold!

Well I'm off to go get ready to pick up my husband from the airport! Woohooo!!!

Happy Creating!!

My Husbands Birthday!!

Today is my husband, William's Birthday! What's even greater is that today he is on his way home from Afghanistan!! What a great birthday present! Our kids and I miss him soo much and are just so excited to see him! He'll only be home for a week to take care of me and the kids when I get a minor surgery but I'll take it!!
This is the card I made for him. The picture looks way lighter then it really is, it is actually Always Artichoke and Sahara Sand. I used the To the Nines Designer Series Card-stock, I folded it over to show the other great side and did some heavy distressing around the edges! I did a little stitching with the hemp twine and tied a little on the 'b' from the 'Party Hearty' stamp set. I cut out my b and got the middle with my 3/4" punch and cut out a piece of the same DSP to put in its place. I also used the 1 3/4" punch for the larger Sahara Sand Circle and I used my Always Artichoke marker for the images and my stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the sayings. I wrapped up some chocolate in the same DSP, tied it with the retired SU rope twine and I made a tag with the Sale-a-bration set 'Yummy'. Now hopefully he doesn't get a chance to check my blog on his way home!!

Lucky Me!!

I made this card for 2 of this weeks SCS challenges. One being the colors being Basic Black, Rose Red and Always Artichoke. The other SCS challenge is the Sketch Challenge here is the sketch we were given!
This is what I came up with, it really ended up being such an easy card, not much too it at all, stamps ink and card stock!! I used the Jumbo wheel at an angle to play off of the triangle. I love the leprechaun man and almost always cut him out when I use him. I am getting my Stampin Up goods today so I can't wait to get out the new stuff and create some more!!

Happy Creating!!

Ingredients: Pinch Proof Stamp Set and Pinch Me Jumbo Wheel. Cardstock: Always Artichoke, Basic Black, Rose Red. Ink: Basic Black & Versamark

Tote-ally Cute!!!

Isn't this tote-ally cute?? I got the tutorial from Becky over at Inking Idaho. She has some amazing ideas!

It was way easier then I had thought it would be and I'll definitely use Stampin Ups textured designer card-stock next time because it is a bit thicker. I love it and can't wait to get some new CS and give it another go!

The INKcredibles March Stamp Club Project

These are the projects that were done in my friend & fellow Demonstrator's Stamp Club which at our last meeting we so happily named ourselves The INKcredibles!! I love it! Heres a little history... my friends name is Sherri and at first she was just my neighbor across the street, very friendly & sweet. She came over once when she saw me out raking an extreme amount of leaves and helped me out! How nice is that! She quickly became someone I am glad to call a friend! Ok so there is a point to this...she introduced me to Stampin' Up shortly after I had moved into my house in 2005. Geez...I can't believe its been so long ago since I first learned to stamp, I'll have to post the first card I ever stamped soon, yup I still have it! I was excited to find out about a stamp club she was doing and joined without much thought. I have since moved across town, which is a total bummer because we can no longer walk across the street to borrow stamps!! On the upside, I no longer have any leaves to rake!!
Although I joined the Stampin Up family last month to be a demonstrator, I will continue to go to Sherri's Stamp Club same as always!! Hopefully someday I'll work up to having some stamp club's of my own too!! Scrapbooking and Cardmaking for me is such a wonderful creative outlet, I just love it!! So thanks Sherri for being a great friend and for teaching me the stamping ropes!

Urban Oasis Card Class!! March 7th!!

I don't know about you, but I LOVE Stampin' Ups Designer Series Papers, actually I loved them so much, I wasn't even able to cut into them until recently! A little crazy I know! The Urban Oasis Paper is one of my very favorites, I just love those blues, greens and grays! Maybe I've been in Ohio too long, after all it is pretty gray here! Oh and the grass IS greener here in Marysville...thats the motto anyway! I guess if you don't count the 4 months of yellow grass then it is! Ok, I'm rambling on...
So the cards and box in the pictures are what we'll be making on March 7th at my 1st card class! They are all fairly simple to do. I'm really looking forward to sharing something I love with others around me! If you are interested in coming please shoot me an email! Cost is $12 or FREE with a $25 Stampin' Up Order from me.
As much as I would love to say I came up with this awesome project...I didn't! So thanks goes out to Sheryl Braun & Stephanie David from the SU website and to Andrea Wolford for all of there amazing ideas, that I compiled into one great class!!

Color Challenge

So I decided to do the SCS Color Challenge. The colors were Rose Red, More Mustard and Kiwi Kiss and this is what I came up with! I used Stampin Ups embrace life stamp set. I clear embossed all of the pink flowers and the saying. I am loving these challenges so plan on seeing much more!

Summery Birthday Gifts!

I thought I'd post these gifts that I made last summer, I was just organizing some pictures and was excited to see that I took pictures before I gave them to my cousins! So here they are all bright and summery! I used the Stampin Up Tart & Tangy stamp set, I got the ideas for the purse, bookmarks and push-up pop from SCS, Its been so long I don't have the links to those but here is the link to SCS. I purchased the bins from Big Lots for $1! I stamped some plain white paper (from a paper roll) for the presents and I threw in some candy too!
