My New Decor Elements!

My first decor elements, I actually got this FREE from Stampin Up! I was so excited to put it up, knowing I had the perfect empty spot for it! So up in my little nook it went! I love it, I was a little unsure about these but I am now sold!

Well I'm off to go get ready to pick up my husband from the airport! Woohooo!!!

Happy Creating!!

My Husbands Birthday!!

Today is my husband, William's Birthday! What's even greater is that today he is on his way home from Afghanistan!! What a great birthday present! Our kids and I miss him soo much and are just so excited to see him! He'll only be home for a week to take care of me and the kids when I get a minor surgery but I'll take it!!
This is the card I made for him. The picture looks way lighter then it really is, it is actually Always Artichoke and Sahara Sand. I used the To the Nines Designer Series Card-stock, I folded it over to show the other great side and did some heavy distressing around the edges! I did a little stitching with the hemp twine and tied a little on the 'b' from the 'Party Hearty' stamp set. I cut out my b and got the middle with my 3/4" punch and cut out a piece of the same DSP to put in its place. I also used the 1 3/4" punch for the larger Sahara Sand Circle and I used my Always Artichoke marker for the images and my stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the sayings. I wrapped up some chocolate in the same DSP, tied it with the retired SU rope twine and I made a tag with the Sale-a-bration set 'Yummy'. Now hopefully he doesn't get a chance to check my blog on his way home!!

Lucky Me!!

I made this card for 2 of this weeks SCS challenges. One being the colors being Basic Black, Rose Red and Always Artichoke. The other SCS challenge is the Sketch Challenge here is the sketch we were given!
This is what I came up with, it really ended up being such an easy card, not much too it at all, stamps ink and card stock!! I used the Jumbo wheel at an angle to play off of the triangle. I love the leprechaun man and almost always cut him out when I use him. I am getting my Stampin Up goods today so I can't wait to get out the new stuff and create some more!!

Happy Creating!!

Tote-ally Cute!!!

Isn't this tote-ally cute?? I got the tutorial from Becky over at Inking Idaho. She has some amazing ideas!

It was way easier then I had thought it would be and I'll definitely use Stampin Ups textured designer card-stock next time because it is a bit thicker. I love it and can't wait to get some new CS and give it another go!

The INKcredibles March Stamp Club Project

These are the projects that were done in my friend & fellow Demonstrator's Stamp Club which at our last meeting we so happily named ourselves The INKcredibles!! I love it! Heres a little history... my friends name is Sherri and at first she was just my neighbor across the street, very friendly & sweet. She came over once when she saw me out raking an extreme amount of leaves and helped me out! How nice is that! She quickly became someone I am glad to call a friend! Ok so there is a point to this...she introduced me to Stampin' Up shortly after I had moved into my house in 2005. Geez...I can't believe its been so long ago since I first learned to stamp, I'll have to post the first card I ever stamped soon, yup I still have it! I was excited to find out about a stamp club she was doing and joined without much thought. I have since moved across town, which is a total bummer because we can no longer walk across the street to borrow stamps!! On the upside, I no longer have any leaves to rake!!
Although I joined the Stampin Up family last month to be a demonstrator, I will continue to go to Sherri's Stamp Club same as always!! Hopefully someday I'll work up to having some stamp club's of my own too!! Scrapbooking and Cardmaking for me is such a wonderful creative outlet, I just love it!! So thanks Sherri for being a great friend and for teaching me the stamping ropes!
