Give those old cards another look!

So my sister in law came over the other day and wanted to make a card for her brother...she came to the right place!! After lots of looking at ideas she decided she liked an old card I had made (pictured on the right)  She picked out some colors she liked and went from there!  I love the way it turned out and just had to share it!  Such a simple color change and such a huge difference!  Hers is a great masculine birthday card good for any age, I really like the colors she choose.   What do you think?
STAMP SET:  Lots of Bots
ACCESSORIES:  Not Quite Navy Buttons, Kraft 3/8" taffeta ribbon, scallop punch, word window punch, Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, ticket corner punch
CARDSTOCK:  Not Quite Navy, Always Artichoke, More Mustard, Urban Garden DSP(retired)

Stampin' Fun!

I have been busy the last couple days finishing up my mom's mothers day gift, doing grad cards and working on something for the "MISS" May Swappers Group I am in. I am in the Trendy Trees Swap. Here are 2 cards I made for that, which should I do for my swap?
I think this one is my favorite, I used Pink Pirouette, Kiwi Kiss, Whisper White and Basic Brown. Urban Garden DSP, Eyelet Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Small Oval Punch, Square Punches and Photo Corner punch...whew...lots of punches! I just got the gorgeous whisper white organza ribbon, I love it! Including the Trendy Trees Stamp Set I also used the Oval All set.

This is the other card I made as another possible for the swap. Still using Pink Piroette and Whisper White and Riding Hood Red instead of Kiwi Kiss. I used my circle punches, eyelet, scallop, small and wide oval punches. I finished it off with some whisper white 1/4" grosgrain ribbon. I used the trendy trees wheel on this one with the Trendy Trees Set.

I made this desk post-it holder to go with my Moms Mothers Day gift that I showed on my last post. You can see my tutorial for this here.
Last but not least this card is for my husbands cousin that is graduating from the University of North Texas. I cased this card completely from a card I saw on SCS you can see it here, I just changed out the colors. I used Glorious Green, Whisper White and Basic Black and the Great Grads Stamp set.

Thanks for checking out my blog today!

The winner from my last blog post is Heather!! Congratulations Heather!
This is a really quick set I did using just Urban Oasis DSP and some embellishments! I love the bag in a box idea which I learned from my upline and great friend at her stamp club! Here is the link for the bag in a box tutorial! Try it out, you'll be amazed at how easy they are to do!

Thanks for looking, and happy stampin'!

Urban Oasis Card Class!! March 7th!!

I don't know about you, but I LOVE Stampin' Ups Designer Series Papers, actually I loved them so much, I wasn't even able to cut into them until recently! A little crazy I know! The Urban Oasis Paper is one of my very favorites, I just love those blues, greens and grays! Maybe I've been in Ohio too long, after all it is pretty gray here! Oh and the grass IS greener here in Marysville...thats the motto anyway! I guess if you don't count the 4 months of yellow grass then it is! Ok, I'm rambling on...
So the cards and box in the pictures are what we'll be making on March 7th at my 1st card class! They are all fairly simple to do. I'm really looking forward to sharing something I love with others around me! If you are interested in coming please shoot me an email! Cost is $12 or FREE with a $25 Stampin' Up Order from me.
As much as I would love to say I came up with this awesome project...I didn't! So thanks goes out to Sheryl Braun & Stephanie David from the SU website and to Andrea Wolford for all of there amazing ideas, that I compiled into one great class!!
